The Dubai Mall is the world's largest shopping mall based on total area and sixth largest by gross leasable area. Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, it is part of the Burj Khalifa tallest tower complex, the 20-billion-dollar project has 1,200 shops. Over 12 million sq ft (equivalent in size to more than 50 football pitches), the Dubai Mall has a total internal floor area of 5.9 million square feet (55 ha) and leasable space of 3.77 million square feet (35 ha). The Dubai Mall App has 4 menu items which include, Map (in the current version static images of the floor plan of the mall), Retailer List (list of all of the stores in the Dubai Mall with descriptions for the stores), Favorites (user customized list of favorite stores), Promotions (general list of all mall promotions - to be updated regularily). The developers have decided to release the App in order to solicit feedback from users and allows users to try the App. Note that users of older versions of the iPhone or iPod Touch may experience slight delays in opening up the retailer list simply because we have provided the entire database of the store list allowing users to navigate through all the stores of Dubai Mall anytime, anywhere, all the time without incurring any data charges or require them to be in a wifi zone. We are working on reducing this load time in future releases. Users can select their favorite stores from the retail list and then not have to utilize the retail list button again as their favorite stores will appear in the separate menu item under favorites. Future versions of the App will also allow users to find promotions and receive alerts of promotions directly to their iPhone or iPod touch devices. We have other cool ideas for users BUT rest assured all versions of the App as it is modified and updated will ALWAYS BE FREE for users! NOTE: Users cannot currently identify the location of any store on the MAP - this will be made available to users in the next release. In the meantime send us your feedback on the Dubai Mall APP!
